Top Speed ICAR Modified racer Bill Burba walked away, but sore after a scary crash Saturday night October 12th at Winchester Speedway in turn one when he went over another car's wheel and rode the track on the nose of the car against the wall and then flipped over the wall coming to rest on it's side. The carburator was broke off the intake manafold and the concrete wall actually ground into the intake manafold. The crew of Kyle Bush's CRA car was the first on the scene since they were pitted in turn one and they were able to push the car back on it's wheels and pull Burba from the wrecked Modified as fuel was dripping from the fuel line after the carb was ripped from the car. Thanks to the Grace of God and a well built car by another Modified racer, Mike Stacy, Bill Burba is still with us today. Shortly after the crash a shaken Burba was able to walk across the track to a standing applauding crowd. Bill would later check himself into the hospital for tests which showed he was ok and returned that same night after the races had ended. There are a couple of videos on Youtube of this crash if you type in Bill Burbas Crash in the Youtube search.
