Effective A-arm length

I'm measuring up a wishbone suspension to calculate wheel/spring rates and locate the shift in roll centre during cornering etc. The lower arm has offset inner pivots, so they are different distances to the ball joint. Do I take an average of the 2 lengths or take the measurement from the outer pivot point only?

A reference to an article or website that covers this specific issue would be appreciated. Thanks.
