Hello everyone, I am new to racing I just got my first car to tinker with, and looking to build a engine. My question is, is it necessry to put hardened valve seats in a pure stock or street stock engine. It will be most likely Double hump heads do to rules, and I will be running higher octan fuel. Thanks for any opinions/replys.

just to give you a quick answer.. as i have not been in the rule book
buy 2 copies... one for yourself.. and one for your machine shop.. highlight and tab the pages that cover your issues on what is legal and what is not..
i seem to recall hearing that some aftermarket heads are legal for some classes.. as camel hump heads are getting hard to find..
you might want to search the Engine tech section below the T in the circuit track above left..
