Piston ring measuring instrument 50 009 887

i just ran across this catalog.. but on page 26 it has a piston ring measuring device...

an engine rebuilding shop i used to work in had one...   man it was nice to be able to verify the size of the piston ring without a gauge ring and a feeler gauge...  when there was a fire at the rebuilding shop.. the boss ran back into the burning building..  as i recall he could not decide to grab the pile of cash from the drawer or this tool that he did not realize he could replace..  i think he decided to save himself first..

this is not for the weekend engine builder.. but if you build a LOT of motors and spend a lot of time fitting rings...  man is this MAY save you a LOT of time...  we used it for measuring rings for size... i don't know if it will help with a fine enough reading for selective ring fit..

i am NOT trying to sell you anything..  as somebody probably markets this here in the US.. but i have not seen them...
