On September 7th & 8th the Top Speed Fabrication ICAR Modified Touring series traveled to Gods Country way up at Onaway Speedway in Michigan for their "Redneck Rally". Friday saw rain and not much activity but Saturday cool temperatures and cloudly skies made it ideal racing weather. The Feature event got underway at 10pm and The Widow Wax car with driver Brian Nester from Hamilton,IN. would take the checkered flag after 62-laps of racing. Mark Bott finished 2nd, Trevor Berry 3rd, Mike Sturgill 4th and Female Canadian racer Samantha Jansen would round out the top five.Before the ICAR Mods took the green flag the #24 of Bud Gray would drop out because of engine problems. The #51 of Todd Jackson would take the field of 18 cars to the green. One of the caution's saw the #3 of Mike Weiman and the #27 of Nyle Weiler making contact in turn 3 and both cars went to the pits and did not return to racing. Fast Qualifier was the #61 of Brad Springer with a time of 14.110 seconds with the slowest car having a time of 14.702 seconds. The 6 fastest cars were in a 6 lap heat race with the #7B of Trevor Berry taking the win and the $100.The Top Speed Fabrication ICAR Modified Touring Series will be back at Angola Motorsport Speedway(Fremont,IN.) for a rain makeup day this coming Saturday September 15th.
