So I'm thinking of building a car for next year and I'm thinking of running an either 1/4 or 3/8 mile track. At both tracks the chevy berettas with the 3.1 V6 are very very popular. however I want to build something different. I'm looking to build either a neon, probe, or saturn. Neither track allows DOHC V6s so only the 4cyl probe would do, but does anybody know how those do against the berettas? and for the saturn or neon, I know for sure I want a DOHC in both of those but what models are those available in and how do they do against berettas? Any and all advice is appreciated.
Don't know about the ION or L-Series but for Saturn S-Series check out for the '2'DOHCSC2SL2SW2 SOHCSC1SL1SW1Although only running on 124hp it is very light weight and stiff in the rear. Gots lot of torque off the corners. Power available all the way in 2nd gear with the automatic. Plastic panels are very forgiving when getting rubbed the wrong way.At our 3/8 Asphalt track it regularly beats Neons and the likes. This year was beaten by an extremely well driven Cavalier Z24.
