im running a pure stock class on a high banked clay ovel my car is a mid 70,s gm chassis with a regal body typical for my class discs in the front drums in the rear my class is very strick no sort of racing equipment is allowed to be used but we get by on what we can use wich is mostly painted and disguised racing parts but the issue at hand is no duel master brakes so getting these old drums to work like we wish they would work is impossible now i have a tiny two line master out of a 66 bronco or something it seems to work i was told to split the two lines into one line to all four wheels it seems to give more rear bias that i need now the question is is there any other way to achieve more rear brake other than what i hope will work that i have already tried and my season is a month away from starting any help and fast help would be much appretiated

oconnor52 welcome to the CT forum. I would read the rules carefully thre is allways room for some liberal interpritation of the letter of the rules can you use a readaly available replacement rear end assembly from the same manufacturer if you can you could find a vehical with rear discs that came in that era +or- 1 or 2 years or so I would emagine anyway adadpt them to your application. You do know all vehicals after 67 had to have dual resivour mastercylinders, Dose the rules dictate you use a single res. MC if so that's nuts & verry unsafe if you loose 1 wheels brakes they all fail, with a dual MC you just loose either the front or the rear not both. I would re read the rules & try to figure out a better system with a proportioning valve installed so you can adjust brake bias as long as it's leagle in your santioning bodies rules. Good luck. Keep us posted. 3836bbl
Buy the book "How to build a _____" or "How to tune a _____" You fill in the blanks. & Allways I would "Fill your library before you fill your garage"

we had the same kind of rules at our track and what most people did is cut off the right front brake and smash the left front brake line a little so it restricts flow or put a shut-off valve on each line to each tire and adjust them before you go out on the track...there are all kinds of little secrets out there and i cant believe no1 wants to help/share fellow racers, the way i see it we are all one big family and should do anything to help every1 get on the track and be competitive
