Sorry for the dumb newbie question, but what weight and brand oil is best for a 602 crate motor? I'm thinking I want to run 20W50, but I'm not sure I'm correct.

GM recomends Mobil 1 15W50. It should say on the the side of the oil pan.
I know some people run a lighter oil, but for someone new to the engine, stick within the w50 area no lighter then 10w50
