I just started racing on a 1/4 mile oval where the bandit rules say we can run any racing spring as long as it fits in the stock pocket. Stock OE springs are generaly 147lbs in the front and 131 in the rears. My car rolls over in the corners a bit more then I want it to and as a result I don't feel like it's very fast through the corners. Anyone have any idea for a good starting point for spring rates for my car? I have a 1990 Ford Probe GL and it weighs around 2500lbs.
Thanks!!

I'm new to racing too, but I've been getting alot of good info from the guys at the pit and through internet research. I also run on a 4/10 oval, the car I bought had cut springs in front. I don't know what the spring rate is but I went to a 250lb front spring and 230 in the rear. I only plan on changing both fronts and the left rear spring, since my car is so front heavy. I also am changing the sway bars which should also help. Do as much as you can to take the weight off the front right. You can go higher in spring rates but I just couldn't afford them. The 300lbs and higher are like a couple hundred a spring. I will let you know how these springs feel after this weekend. Also play around with tire pressures, that will make a big difference too.
