Ok, so i currently race on a small 1/4 mile asphalt track with 12-14 degree banks. I have a fast car and usually place 2nd in each race. (same guy gets me everytime)our season ends next week and after im planning on travaling to the dirt track which is about 300 miles away, but i know nothing about dirt track set-up. So im looking for pointers on what can be changed to run a little better on the dirt.

that track is a BIG 3/8s clay high banker...18 to 20* ive been told. My car is a metric car sitting at about 3200lbs 53% cross and 54% left if i remember correctly. Thanks in advance for any help offered!!

changing the rear gears would help, not sure wat you have so i cant really tell you which way to go, more rear weight will help with acceleration and help the tires grip more on dirt i ran 50% rear and had the l/r at dead center, softer spring on left front and right rear but and softer shocks on right side than my left, the more you can get the car to lay into the turn and transfer most of the weight to the rear it will help you hook up on dirt and drive off the corner better, on dirt you want to slide, drive into the turn hard and let it turn itself, keep it corrected and drive it hard out of the turn but dont hammer on it coming out u need to roll into the throttle to keep the tires hooked up
