LEGENDS RACE 3 TIMES IN TN/VA MOUNTAINS ON JULY 4TH WEEKEND

Get your fill of racing on the Fourth of July weekend plus see the beautiful scenic Smoky Mountains.  Thunder Legends Series will race July 2nd at Newport (TN) Speedway at 7:30 PM.  Then move up the road to Lonesome Pine (Coeburn VA) Raceway for a double feature race on July 3rd.  

The racing on Friday will begin at Newport Speedway, a 4/10 mile high banked asphalt oval that is nicknamed ‘Little Bristol’ due to its similar 24 degree banking.  Pits open at Noon, 2 practice sessions, 2 laps qualifying and racing begins at 7:30 PM.  Also racing that night will be Newport Late Models, Street Stock, Mod 4, Front wheel drive, and Road Hogs. A great fireworks display will follow the race.

Saturday racing will continue at Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn VA.  This beautiful 3/8 mile asphalt oval has seen many famous drivers including, Richard Petty, Harry Gant, Allan Kulwiki, Rusty Wallace and Mark Martin. Gates will open at Noon, 2 practice sessions, 2 qualifying laps then at 7 Pm will be the first of twin 25 lap races.  Fireworks will also follow at the end of the race night.  This will also be the 4th Annual Wanda Phillips Memorial race at LPR.  All Legends drivers and fans are cordially welcome.  Come race with us ! ! !
