engine builds

Ok C/T whats the deal in April issue C. Long starts a high end engine build and in July issue he goes racing with it, also in July issue Article Bomber Power Rhyne competition eng. builds a low end engine and in comperison the little chev. kicked the high end motor out of the park only thing I can see is they are twisting the ford more please explain how I would benifit by spending more to get less.
