Hello,

I built a Pure Stock asphalt car (1/2 mile) this year for a friend.
I've raced for a few years, but own a camaro.

this car is a 1976 Pontiac Lemans (yep!) 2 door coupe car.
It has a 350, 2bbl, (stock).

I have it sprung with a 800 LF and 700 RF, with 200 LR and 175 RR.
By rule, the springs must be "stock", and NO spring spacers or wieght jacks, etc.
Also by rule, limited to 1" difference between rear wheels when jacked in the center. (minimum cross weight).

I have read several posts about spring setups, and all the recomendations are really high. (1000# +) rates.
But everyone at our track runs 700-900 rates, some even softer.

SOme say these high rates are old school.  Also, running higher right side rates old school as well...

Car is loose off. (yes, in know, with these rates, I don't have the benefit of cross with the higher LF, but it can dive WAY into the corner great!)

please advise...

It handles pretty good.

Are you allowed to use aftermarket shocks? There are rated shocks that can be used as stock replacements, there maybe some help there. What about your front swaybar? Can you go heavier there and/or preload it? You may consider going even up with the rear springs,  have fun, try different things, no one set up works for everybody.

Barry what you need to do is switch your front springs by doing so it will help the car not roll over on the right front from the center out
