I am buying to many sets of plug wires because the boots down on my plugs are getting burned, they are not touching my exhaust manifolds, as I have to run stock under the plug manifolds for my 350. So I am looking for sugestions on how to solve this problem.

I race in the stock class at my local track and have to run the stock manifolds also. I had the same problem. I started using Accel ceramic boot spark plug wires they can not burn. They are a little expensive.

i don't get over here often...
just curious.. since you have to run stock exhaust manifolds.. do you run stock spark plug wire heat shields that bolt onto the 1/4-20 holes in the block just below the deck surface.. this deflects the infrared heat away from the spark plug wire boots on Millions of stock chevy motors..????
just a thought...
here is a picture of the one type..

Much thanks for the sugestions. I plan to incorperate the stock heat shields and use a good quality set of wires.

A set of fiberglass spark plug boot protectors will solve this kind of boot melting issue. The stock heat shields will help some but they were are not made for high performance applications.
