Doetsch Shocks

Hi Y'all-
I'm kinda new to forums and a brand new member here.  Been lurking/searching for a while, trying to find out something about Doetsch Tec shocks.

Situation is:  I'm building a chassis for hill climb/open track day events, in SCCA and/or NASA.  It will be a tube frame chassis, solid rear axle (Ford 8.8 or a 9-inch, Pinto spindles up front with U&L A arms) and will use coil overs on all four corners.

Most of the folks I know doing this kind of thing use QA1 or GAZ or even Alden coil overs.  They're good, but high dollar.  (Kinda like the AFCO units for circle track cars.)  I found, in the Day Motorsports catalog, a Doetsch Tec coil over unit, with all the C-O hardware and a spring for substantially less than any of those brands.  Looks good, but I don't know Doetsch brand.

Anybody in this group got any wisdom on Doetsch shocks???  I'd appreciate any info you'd be willing to share...

Thanks-
JD

I think you would be fine as long as you get an adjustable shock. With a wide variety of racing you will need the adjustibility(spelled wrong I know LOL).

Oh I should mention that I have run the Doetsch shocks before. There is a certain class around here that uses them exclusively. The fast guys anyway! Class rules are for bone stock but they have been slipping them by unnoticed and it makes a huge difference there because of the crazy track.
