Hey guys, my name is Ken and I'm a first time poster. First of all, I love racing of any kind as long as it has a motor. I raced Motocross until four years ago when I failed to negotiate a double and broke my back in three places and left me paralized from the waste down. Since then I have been wanting to race anything more than you could ever imagine but we were under a pretty big financial load as you could imagine so racing has been on the back burner. I've never raced a car before, circle or drag but I would love to learn. I live within 30 miles or so from an asphalt track and also a dirt track and really don't care which one I race on. Money is still an issue as it is for many so I need to keep it on the cheap as much as possible. I would like to buy a turn key ready to race car since I will have to pay someone to do most of the work. I would rather do the work myself but, physically I can only do so much. I know little about this sport but I learn fast and am excited even talking about it and would appreciate any advice or info you guys can offer. Just some of my questions would be, what class do you reccomend? Where can I find a turn key car? Asphalt or dirt? Are there race shops that I could use on a weekly basis (repairs etc.) Is it legal to race with hand controls? I'm not trying to write an autobiograghy here, I just want to give an accurate picture so I can recieve accurate info. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. I respect your sport and would love to be a part of it. By the way, I'm located in central Ohio. Thanks in advance guys.

I would check the web site of your local track they usually have a classified section. Go to the track look a round and ask the drivers, thats where u will get the best info. your lookin for.

Good luck it a blast ( if your car runs right) this year mine is a lemon.
