Gear ratio and tire size for 3/8 mile

I run a 85 Monte Carlo on a 3/8 mile track with very little banking. I was wondering what would be the best gear ratio to run in the rearend with a 350 turbo and would it be better to run 14 or 15 inch tires. I am runnig 215 60 15 in the rear and 195 60 15 lleft front and right front is a 225 60 15. I ran a 350 turbo last weekend and had to shift from 1 to 2nd the whole race night but picked up a win. twincitysraceway.net you can see the track i run on at this site. i was wondering if u ran on the asphalt or on the dirt, if it is the asphal wen i ran we used the turbo 350 with 373 gears in the rear and they worked perfect on the 3/8th mile or if u can switch to a 2 speed power glide then u should use 323 gears which work better.

I also run a 3/8 asphalt, on 225/70/15 with the turbo 350 and 3:73 rear. Where you are using a smaller tire id probbaly go wiht 3:42 should keep your rpm around 5600 give or take, dont know what your engine rules are

Hi,
I ran down there with you guys this weekend in the 22A car. What a great track and all you guys were great. the 350T tanny has a 2.5 first and 1.5 second. The guys at willow run a 2.41 rear in first for about a 6.0 final ration but your track is a little bigger I was running a 5.6 final ratio last weekend and that was about right. If you can find a 3.73 and run in second you'll be right in the ball park. I look forward to running with you in the spring.

Hey hows it goin john. Just getting my new motor ready for next year seeing how i blew my motor trying to get a good run on you in 1 and 2. I might have forgot to shift! OOOPPPSSSS! But i think i am going to run a powerglide next year in the 28 car but i also have a 70' Chevelle i been tinkering on.Think i may icerace it this winter. Still got the fever!

Like I said only seems to start this new york escort after the car gets good and warm and up to a good running speed, it new york asian escort
is not over heating. The car did catch fire recently a couple new york escorts
of weeks ago. And this is when this started to happen. Thought I traced all the wiring and made sure that nothing was burnt through.
