Currently have a 79/80 Camaro with a small block 400, running on a very abrasive 3/8 mile track with 12 to 14 degree bankings in the corner. I want to run the soft spring big bar set up preferably with 600's across the front and 175 and 200 in the rear. Looking for recommendations on ride heigth on all 4 corners, shock suggestions(non adjustable) and any other things that might be of help.

hi cdavis44 my name is rich, i used to run a camaro just like yours, we did not run bbss setup, we were very limited on what we could and could not do. 6" at the lowest point on the frame was as low as we could go. we could'nt use rated springs in the rear but could have them in the front. we ran a stock sway bar, a 800# lf, a 900# rf. with as much rf camber as we could get. one thing we did due is made the frame into a perimeter frame car, we ran stock appearing front shocks, but were after market from afco, same with the rear. we also had hidden a brake bias nobb were only i could use or find it , boy did that help alot. total #3550 with driver and full of fuel, 55.8%left side, 53.5% cross and 49% rear#. open rear end and extremly hard tires. we won 3 track championships with this car, two of which were back to back, and never finished worse then 3 in points for six years. i hope i have answered some questions.

I would start out with an  800#LF 900#RF and if you can run rated springs in the rear i would start with a 250#LR and a 200#RR if you can not run rated rear springs, take one of the middle leafs from the right rear and put it in the left rear, that will be just about right also. if you need more info feel free to write again
