I just purchased a Modified (IMCA-WISSOTA) chassis and it was a z-link on the passenger side and a 4 bar setup on the drivers side. This has me on tilt...should I make this a 4 bar only! Maybe even a three link? I have no idea where to start with the rear set-up it has now. It has all the perches for any setup. Another question has to do with the bottom swing arms. It has a 250 LR and a 225 RR spring. The front coils are 800 each. What do Modifieds run for springs nowadays? One fellow recommends that I run 650 lf and a 750 RF. Any advise would be appreciated.

With swing arms there is a ratio for the springs depending on the distance between the mounts and where in the middle the spring sets. I can't remember what the typical ratios are but if it was 50% a 300 lb spring would act like a 150 lb spring. I have a buddy running that setup and if I see him in the next day or 2 I will ask him. He's pretty slick on them!
