Have a 2000 cavalier with a 2.4 auto that is missing in the turns. As soon as you get on the straight it runs fine. Anyone else had this problem

Sounds like a connection problem to me but thats definetly a new one on me. But the first thing you need to check is the fuel cell(or tank) Fuel inj motors need a constant supply at a certain pressure. The stock tank has a baffle that works like a good oil pan, with trap doors and compartments that pool the fuel in a area at the pump. If it loses fuel for even a millisecond your pressure will drop. Resulting in the injectors not having the pressure to operate properly. And the miss you spoke of could very well be caused by that. If you are running a fuel cell you could cut the baffles out of a stock tank and piece them together in the cell , securing them with some fuel compatible epoxy. If your running a stock tank check your baffles, if you have bottomed out or had a good "bump" the baffles could be busted.
Hope this helps and if its not the case please write back and I will try to help from there. Jr

thanks for the idea, I'm thinking it's a fuel problem or loose coil pack. First I have to get a new tranny in the thing since it decided to let go.
