I am running a open comp street stock with a soft spring big bar set up and was looking for the best way to mount my sway bar, I have ran it floating on the right side but have seen that some people are also running it the other way around what are the pro's and cons to each? thanks

If you leave it floating too freely, when the lash is taken up it can upset the car. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.
