What class is going to be the best for me to start in? I was looking into latemodel asphalt!

You want to start in the lowest latemodel class possible if you're new to racing, and just work your way up the ladder. You'll get the best driving experience doing it that way, and learn a lot more. Look at most of the great oval track drivers of the last 50 years, they started at the bottom and worked their way up.

I have noticed that there are many different late model classes! i live in the west(colorado). There is also the latemodel challenge series over in utah and idaho!! So can i buy a car from the east and race it? THANX!! RANDY

Why not start with something a little simpler? Like say front wheel drives or street stock. If you conquer those first you will end up with more knowledge for later instead of spending too much energy on understanding a more complex setup. When you figure them out the knowledge will help tremendously when it is time to move up to a late model series.
