I have an old Porsche 924 that's butt ugly but solid mechanically and I was considering running it at the local 3/8 mile dirt track next season. Anyone have pros/cons for using this car? Any setup advise would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Well, i don't know what class you could possibly race it in... But:
If its old enough that it has a swingarm suspension, that is a major con. Also, I get bumped alot on my rear bumper, and an engine in that position is at risk for damage. Parts also will not be cheap, and you might have trouble finding wheels that will work with slicks.
That said, setup will work the same as any other car, but you will probably need more cross-wieght than what is considered normal depending on your wiegt distribution.

I'm considering running it in the 4 cyl stock class. For the record, the 924 is a front-engined car. Fully independent suspension front and rear, no swingarm.
