Hi, I am the wife of a guy that really wants to pick up circle track dirt racing in Oregon again. But he needs some help from his lovely wife to get the ball rolling. All I know is that is wants to race pure street stock and I am wondering where is a good place on line to get information on obtaining sponsors, costs associated annually, good location for finding a car...etc...
I really appreciate your help, I want him to move forward on his dream and think if I help do the computer/people part he would be really excited.

I race at Douglas county speedway down in Roseburg... its pavement but i think I can help somewhat.

Nwracetalk.com has an excellent classified section, as well as forums dedicated to every track in the north west. Which track are you thinking of running on?

As for the costs, etc,  its really hard to predict. Each track has different rules which change the costs drasticly.  I spent $6500 building my car, and another $2000 keeping it on the track through the year with fuel costs and such.  I think this site is an excellent resource for info on getting sponsors and so on.
