What rules are you racing by? What have you done to the car so far?  I am racing a 04 cavailer on asphalt and a 98 on dirt. My 04 is an auto but my 98 is a manual.

i would shave the heads if they are pulling away from you. We have a guy that races with us and he has tried down shifting but if you shave the heads two layers you might be able to get a better run comin out or trie entering you turn a lil higher to have a better run comin off
