Hello all i have built a ho street engine 350 sbc with new dart 220 heads 2.05 intake 1.6 exhaust valves 72 cc dome pistons .125 dome cam is a #11 .552 intake .561 exaust lift with i added 1.6 roller rockers stainless steel to raise lift to @ .584i & .594e duration is .293,.298. My problem is when running WOT my q-jet dries up no gas in bowl.I am verry knollageable with q-jets and have tried everything any ideas if so please help me fix this issue. I am running a pro comp 140 gph pump mechanical. I first tried a holly double pumper and it will not let my engine tach past 6000 rpm's but the q-jet goes much higher than that when it does not dry up any ideas. Gotta go for now but will check back a little latter today thanks Daviscj7

Do you have the Doug Roe book? It was very helpful for me when I rebuilt mine. It addressed a number of common problems. I don't know much about Qjets but managed to get a good running carb with the help of that book. Good luck.

I got it figured out i had the air valve door spring tintion set way to loose and it would slam the secondaries open to early and this was allowing all 4 barrals to suck the fuel bowl area dry.I had the tention set at 1/8th turn past zerro tention went to 3/4ths turn after air valve door closed with no tention this fixed my issue.
