Hi All, New to the site and to circle track racing. My wife races on our local asphalt track in what they call the Lady Bug Class. She's driving a 1987 Subaru Standard. Class rules say we have to keep the car stock, and we're having a hard time preventing the front passenger wheel from wanting to roll on the turns. We've replaced the ball joints and control arm bushings, but still get a nasty roll. Counter weights and camber adjustments aren't allowed and tires all have to be the same size. Any suggestions?

what you might try is a heavier spring in the right front. Or some spring spacers in between the spring coils

I'M SURE A HEAVIER SPRING IS NOT LEAGL EITHER BUT YES THATS WHAT YOU NEED TO LOOK AT MAYBE JUST A NEW SPRING. AND RULES SAY NO CAMBER ADJUSTMENTS WELL, YOU CAN DO AN ALIGNMENT JUST MAKE SURE AND PUT A LITTLE EXTRA CAMBER IN IT... OR OPPS I BENT MY PART SORRY YOU HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO WORK WITH IN THE RULES.

when you say all tires have to be the same size do you mean all the tires on YOUR car have to be the same or ALL the cars on the track have to use the same size tire. I am having camber issues as well so we are running 195/60/14's all around on my 88 ford escort. The 60 is the shortest side wall allowed in my class and it does definitely have less roll than say a 65 or 70 series tire. I also put a strip of duct tape on each right side tire from the rim bead up and over the tread before each practice, heat and feature. When you come back to the pits, you can see exactly how far you are rolling and maybe make pressure adjustments accordingly.

Heat your left front and right rear spring until you see your car move. Once you see it move remove heat. Do the same thing to the left rear spring until your car sinks 2-3 inches. Then your car will handle like a dream.
