My experience with stock Stock cars is that guys tend to use junk yard parts a bit much. Especially for things like shocks and batteries.
Stock shocks go away after 20,000 miles or so; you are better off buying good new ones like Bilsteins. I would say that setting up a dirt FWD is pretty much the same as a RWD. Good shocks, proper springs and reasonable camber. A  tire temperature gauge will be useful too. A good stiff roll cage, engine bay and under carriage cross bars will also help the rigidity. A soft touch in the right place with the right foot is also a good approach. One more thing: we used to use big block and station wagon front springs on cars in the old days...they were stock!

Hey
Does anyone know if they run these on the West Coast? California?
I would recommend Steve Smith's dirt track books even for front wheel drive cars.
From what i read thus far in this blog it seems like there is a need for serious tech info for FWD cars. One of the gys said to run positive camber on the right and negative on the left. Was that a misprint?
