I'm new to the modified division, and over the winter I had bought a A-mod that is suppose to be a rayburn chassie, the spring set up in the car is LF 650 RR 750 LR 250 RR 250, the total car weight is 2530 with the driver weighing 315 lbs. I have been following cirle tracks August and September issues where they are rebuilding a rayburn late model, I know that the rear springs are to lite. it's set up with 53.2% left, 57.1% rear(with full tank of Alcho.)and cross of 52.7 with a 160 lbs.of bite, and it pushes like a train, but extreamly fast in the straight aways. I think that the car needs more right side weight, however I know nothing of the swing arm Z bar set ups and could really use some help for someone who knows something about them, are the front springs to much, I would like to invert the fronts to help give more weight on the RF,and also give me more bite on the RR to help it turn.thanks to any and all who might be able to help or at least tell me I'm on the right path. you can also e-mail me at brokinhailo@yahoo.com

Well brokinhailo i wud do like so many people i know with the swingarm/z-link suspension and just hack the back end apart and reconfigure to the 4-bar/z-link...i personally do not know what it takes to do it but i know plenty of drivers at my local track that do. I recently bought a kosiski chassis with a swingarm/z-link and had the same problems. I sent it home with the track champion to be built to 4-bar/z-link and he assured me that all my problems will be gone and it will be fast allover the track that my only real problem is that the swingarm cars are just really outdated as far as tech goes. go with the 4-bar/z-link that seems to be the best thing to do, and its alot easier to tune into the track as the night goes on.
