Running in Gray Area

I just bought a 72 Ply Scamp to race at a local dirt track in super stock class.Since my job keeps me gone months at sea,won't be racing for points.I just soon build it little in gray area,pretty radical.Will need all the tips,suggestions,advice,tricks under the sun.
Rules;364,flat tops,4bbl carb,ford 9",iron heads,stock style crank.Alum intake,solid lift cam,headers,aftermarket rods,wet sump allowed.So what crank,cam/lift,pistons,
heads,intake,carb,tranny,gears should I use?Should be lots of fun running southern late modle/super stock.
