I'm planning on making the trip from tampa to bristol for the street stock race and i was wondering if anybody has any advice on which shocks and springs to use. The car is a 85 metric monte carlo 3200 lbs  

Be sure to spring up the car. The banking at Bristol used to be 26 degrees (I know it was listed at 36, but I measured it before they did the latest cutting) and it is probable that or more at the top now.

For a street stock car, 1800 pound front springs are not unreasonable. The rears might be upwards of 350 to 450 pounds per inch. Watch your shock travel closely and spring accordingly. And run more air in your tires.

And, don't run slow around the top or your engine will run dry of oil. Run the bottom until you get up to speed or the oil pickup will run dry, that has already happend with late model cars that run wet sump motors at Bristol.

we plan on running a pair of 600 lf 825 rf 350 lr 675 rr 1.875 bar 58.5 cross 53.0 nose how close do you think we are going to be  

I run salem alot and its almost a clone of bristol in size and banking. The best setup I ever had there was 1100 LF - 1300 RF / 350 LR - 300 RR and used a 1 3/8" front swaybar. Run 55% left weight, 59% cross weight, and 49% rear weight. With that setup I could run any groove and never had to jack on the wheel too much. Just be sure to use a good set of shocks...3-5 RF and 4-2 LR.
