We use the old batroom scale system to scale our car. But, we don't know what the exact number to multiply the measurements with to get the right numbers. Does anyone know how to figure that out?

I can help here. I assume you have a leverage system where the inner ground support is inside the wheel and the scale is mounted outside the wheel, farther away.
Divide the total length from the inner support to the center of the scale (the outer support must be centered on the scale) and divide that into the distance from the inner support to the center of the tire. Then square that number and divide that into the scale reading. Then you will have the wheel weight.
If your total length were 40" and the inside measure was 10", then a load of 600# on the wheel would register 37.5# on the scale. This is a very inaccurate method.

You need to make two adjustments. Move some lead rearwards, then re-adjust your cross.
