Here's what I have to work with. I am going to race the local streetstock class with the following rules: any size V-8, cast iron intake, no headers, stock heads and block, Ford-Ford/GM-GM/Chevy-Chevy etc. Single 2bbl 500 CFM carb max.

My car: 73 Mach I Mustang already set up for racing.
No eng. or tranny, had a 351 and C6 in it previously.

I am looking at building a 351 Cleveland and C6 combo. I am just like anyone else starting out in this sport with limited funds, trying to have a little fun and get the most bang for my buck. I am open to any ideas and advice from any of you veterans to circle track racing. Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, I think the best thing you can do is try to talk to other teams that run a similiar car. The Mustangs are not all that popular from what I see, so information might be hard to find. Most racers don't mind sharing info about engine types and trannys because these are not necessarily performance areas. Setup is a different story.

Hello

Did you ever race your car??

I race a 90 T-bird 351W-AOD-2bbl.
