Fuel on restarts

i run a 360 powered aspen/valarie that works very well in the races as a top contender, but on restarts when u come around to the green and start to roll into the throttle the car sputters and bogs out almost to the point that the car stalls. In order the car to stay running u must pump the peddle for up to half a lap. This costs much valued track postion. after this half a lap the car runs fine at 6200rpms at the end of straits on our 1/4 mile track. I figured with the combination of a 3/8's fuel line feeding into a high capcity fuel pump, which then flows into a 2 barrel 500 rodchester with 72 sized jets would be sufficent enough for fuel systems. Now a friend of mine then told me that the fuel in the pump maybe getting really hot on cations laps causing the car to sputter and suggested to run a fresh air hose directly to the fuel pump as well as down jet it a couple of sizes. I did this and this problem still remains now i was wondering if anybody would have any advice that would help to solve this problem?

Does sound like you've got a vapor locking problem there. A fresh air hose blowing on the fuel pump might help, I'd check to make sure you don't have a fuel line too close to exhaust heat that could create this problem duruing a caution when not enough air is moving through the chassis.

Defintiely chek your needle and seat for proper setting and function. Also, are you running a carb spacer? Could the carb itself be getting hot under caution and causing this?

You might try a cool can in the fuel line to reduce the temperature of the fuel coming into the carb.
