I am a tech official at an asphalt track. In the southern sportmod division (IMCA) how could a driver cheat with his transmission? What do I need to look for? I don't like disqualifying anyone, but, I'm sick and tired of all these rumors flying around that we aren't teching cars like we should and we're showing favoritism. I know that's gonna be said at any track, but, anyways, what kind of things can i look for? thank you.

Back in the early to middle 1970's the Big Block was outlawed for circle track racing. Does anyone know the exact year and details of that ruling? THANX, Brent

Jctator, What type set are you referring to? The glide is very easy to "tinker with". I am a racer and am going to have to step up a class just to get away from the cheating in my dirt car. I have a bomber that is very nice but now its worthless. I have decided if I have to run an alum body, 800 hp, a bert trans, and cheat even more on the susp then I might as well have a Mod! Thats right I have a bomber or pure stock as they are called! Please get back with me and let me help before your tracks becomes what mine has. I need to know what trans is widely used. what class your having issues with.
